This morning, a glitch in Amazon Alexa's smart assistant caused delayed responses or a total loss of connection for many Alexa users in the United States.
Customers stated that they got an "I'm not sure what went wrong," "sorry, something went wrong," or a chime that was followed by a lost connection message. Customers also reported seeing a red ring light up around the machine. The problem is related to the voice recognition servers for devices such as the Echo, Echo Dot, and Sonos One. As of right now, 2:21pm EST, there are still over 100 people reporting outages, this is down from several hundred outage complaints.
