February 14th: It's a day of love, hearts, chocolate, candy, jewelry, proposals, presents, and lovey-dovey goo. It's certainly not a day for single gals....or is it? Hmmm..
Ladies, if you are single, and some of your friends are single, turn that frown upside down and celebrate the love of sisterhood. February 13th is your day, ladies! Zoom with your single gal pals and enjoy the festivities. How you may ask? Find out below:
1. Virtual slumber partayyy! Sure, we all left behind the tweenage slumber parties long ago, but we live in the time of reboots. Dust off those slumber party items, grab some games (Crimes Against Humanity is my recommedation), and pick up some food and wine. Gather together your favorite movies from back in the day, along with some music. Hell, if you have a karaoke machine, bring that out as well. Who doesn't appreciate drunken wine karaoke? 2. Facetime date! Are your single gal pals afar and not near? Tell your gal pals to pour a glass of wine, get some food, and get ready for an epic Galentine gab fest! 3. Braless Galentine's Day! We all know the over-the-shoulder-bolder-holders can be pretty confining. How about treating your tatas to some freedom? How come YOU have to enjoy all the freedom? Let the girls breathe! Btw, if you are working on Galentine's Day, you don't have to participate in this one. You can do it the day after LOL! 4. Right hook anyone who labels you as 'single.' Thaaanks Captain Obvi. We know we are single. Perhaps I will be the bigger person and NOT point out that your man was just checking out that barely legal blondie that just crossed your path. KThxBye! Don't let the pairs of the world dim your solo glare. Stand tall, walk proudly, and take back this day, in the name of Galentine's. Can I get an Amen? Btw, I know Galentine's Day is on February 13. However, I think we should celebrate it on the 14th. Let's get it done, ladies!

Get ready to quack quack quack! The Mighty Ducks is coming back, this time to the small screen. Emilio Estevez will be reprising his role as beloved Coach Gordon Bombay. The show will be airing on Disney+, and will also star Lauren Graham and Brady Noon. According to reports, the premise will take place in present-day Minnesota. The Mighty Ducks are a very competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. Evan, played by Brady Noon, was unconventionally cut from the team, and he and his mom (played by Lauren Graham) are looking to create a team of misfits. They look for help from Gordon Bombay. Estevez had this to say about the reboot: "Once a Duck, always a Duck!, and after 25 years, I am delighted to lace up my skates, put on Coach Bombay’s jacket and return to play the iconic character for this new chapter in The Mighty Ducks franchise. Likewise, I am thrilled to return to my old stomping grounds with my friends at Disney and Steve Brill, the original creator of the franchise, to join them on their exciting new platform, Disney+." My Two Cents This franchise was a staple of my teen years in the 1990s. I LOVED The Mighty Ducks movies! This is beyond exciting and I hope some of the OG's return for a cameo (Joshua Jackson, this means you! We need Charlie Conway back!). Join me in a good ole-fashioned quack fest (vid below)! #TheMightyDucks #DisneyPlus #EmilioEstevez #tbt #LaurenGraham #BradyNoon
Twitter, perhaps the loudest social media platform of all, went after Ashley Judd on Tuesday, and it was NOT PRETTY.
Actress Ashley Judd showed up in a video that Senator Elizabeth Warren shared on Twitter, and everyone got on Judd for her appearance. In the video, Judd's face looked very puffy. The Twitterverse speculated she had work done, botched facelifts, etc. The real tea is that Ashley Judd had been sick for quite some time, and was on many steroids to treat the illness (she has a history of Inflammatory Bowel Disease). One of the steroids she was on was Prednisone. A side effect of Prednisone is facial puffiness (real talk, it has happened to me, especially lately. I will go into that in a minute). While Judd did get a lot of heat for her appearance, a lot of women came out in support of Judd's appearance. Women all over the world were posting pics of their 'before and after' faces from taking Prednisone. Stories were shared, and it was pretty heartwarming to see the support. My Two Cents I have been on Prednisone a few times in my life. I was on it when I was first diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease. In the past 2 months, I have been on it because I have horrible asthma and a weaker immune system. Because of the weaker immune system, I been getting sick left and right. The colds and bronchitis that I've been suffering from have triggered horrible asthma episodes. I'm actually on a round of Prednisone due to bronchospasms. The spasms this time have been so bad, I have bad laryngitis (I haven't been able to talk for 2 days). My son laughs at me when I try to talk, and I can't get mad at him because his laugh, face, everything is super adorbs. As for Ashley Judd, I'm not a big fan of her political agendas. However, to go after a woman's appearance is just disgusting and classless. Judd cannot help how she looks, and neither can the millions of us who take Prednisone to treat various illnesses. Before judging, you might want to get your facts straight. Ashley Judd, on this, you have my support. Hope the road to recovery is a successful one, and I hope the same for the millions of us suffering from illness. #AshleyJudd #prednisone #Shaming #SenatorWarren #ElizabethWarren #Twitter #SocialMedia #IBD
