Arie Luyendyk Jr posts April Fools pregnancy prank, and is rightfully blasted for cruelty.

If you needed another reason to HATE Arie, here's another one:
On Sunday, Arie Luyendyk Jr posted a picture of his second choice fiancee Lauren cradling a fake baby bump, with a caption saying: "Secrets finally out, we have a bunny in the oven." Subsequently after, he posted "April Fools."

Social media erupted with anger, calling out the disgraced reality star for cruelty. Many condemned him for making light of infertility, a heartbreaking issue that affects many women around the world. People tagged Arie in tweets, telling him about the facts and figures of infertility. One woman made Arie aware of the fact that 1 in 8 women struggle with infertility. Others reminded Arie of the fact that many women suffer miscarriages and stillbirth. One person said that they should have done an "elopement" joke instead.

As of right now, Arie has NOT apologized for his insensitivity.

My Two Cents

When I saw this, my blood boiled. I have friends who have suffered miscarriages and struggled with infertility. Personally, I was at high risk for infertility due to genetics and an autoimmune disease. It was a miracle from God that I became pregnant last year. I'm in the final weeks of my pregnancy and yesterday I had a big scare: I was spotting. I haven't been feeling well in the last week and my blood pressure was pretty low. Luckily the baby is moving, but I'm still nervous. The on-call doctor put me on rest for the time being, and if I don't feel the baby move after some time, or I start spotting again, I have to go to Labor and Delivery (I'm only 33+3 weeks pregnant).
To see this article the day after I spotted angered me beyond belief. Shame on him and Lauren for making light of such a devastating tragedy like infertility!! I hope to God that Lauren doesn't find out what it feels like to suffer such a loss. Arie has already been through the tragedy, and in typical male fashion, he didn't think anything more of it. He went about his business like nothing happened. It just shows what kind of man he is.

I truly dislike Arie with every fiber of my being. He is cruel. I'm not even sure an apology can get him out of this one. Absolutely deplorable behavior.
