Grumpy Cat, whose face that launched countless memes, has died. She was 7. Grumpy Cat's human took to Twitter and announced her death on Friday. Grumpy had been suffering from a urinary tract infection, and it became too severe for Grumpy to fight. Her human, Tabatha, was holding her when she died.

I am so saddened to hear of her passing. Sending my love and condolences to her humans and to those who have been deeply moved by Grumpy Cat. Grumpy, you were such a huge part of everyone's lives. You made me smile so much. You will be missed immensely. RIP Grumpy Cat.
