![]() If you're like me, you're probably still ticked off that we have to wait until 2019 to see the final Game of Thrones season. Well, we won't have to wait too far into 2019 for the premiere. Maisie Williams, the 20-year-old actress who plays the feisty Arya Stark, confirmed that the show will premiere in April of 2019! "We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April [2019]. That's a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes." Williams spoke further about the final season of Game of Thrones, saying that filming won't be rushed. "There's a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities." The stars of Game of Thrones have been banned from speaking about the final season. Emilia Clarke, our favorite mother of dragons, said this about the ban: "We have a very strict social media ban this year because people need to stop spoiling it for everyone. It's really frustrating. They've written a number of different endings. So none of the cast know what the actual ending is. If there's ever a leak of any kind, don't believe it because it's probably not true." My Two Cents I respect shows that have this type of ban. I love watching shows where there are no spoiler alerts, and you are 'in the moment' when something spectacular happens. This is why I love Game of Thrones. You just never know what's going to happen next. The writers of this show are masters of the craft and I am counting down the months and days until the final season's premiere in 2019. Until then, I will be re-watching the series! Source: www.thepress.net/lifestyles/entertainment/maisie-williams-confirms-new-game-of-thrones-date/article_28efa43e-4615-5e9e-8e29-fbec018596e2.html
