Weather conditions were to blame for the massive pileup on I-35 in Ames, Iowa. About 50 cars were involved in the pileup, and one person was killed. About 6 people were critically injured. Tour organizers assured everyone that "All cast and crew members are fine, with some recovering from minor injuries." Jordan Fisher, DWTS' latest winner, tweeted about the accident, saying: "Thank God for the safety of our crew. Thanks for the prayers and well-wishes." The show at Stephens Auditorium in Iowa was cancelled due to the accident. Organizers of the DWTS tour sent out well-wishes to those who were injured in the pileup: "To anyone involved in the accident, the entire cast sends their best wishes for a speedy recovery, and their deepest apologies to all of the fans who have been waiting to see the show tonight."
