Former 'Voice' star Brooke Simpson sounds off on a troll who body-shamed her.

Brooke Simpson, the young woman who charmed the pants off the judges last season of The Voice, is giving America another reason to love her.

A few days ago, Simpson shared a post on Instagram and a troll decided to fat-shame her, asking her why she gained weight. Brooke screenshot the entire thing and responded in a classy way:
"I thought I’d publicly answer this question since they were bold enough to ask (although the account is a spam account to hide behind) 🙃
If I gained weight it’s because I was enjoying life with good people, good food, and good times.
I don’t try to remain a certain size to make the general public happy or to look like your typical artist because I’m NOT your typical artist and I’m NOT here to make the public happy. I’m here to be BROOKE.
Who is Brooke you ask? Brooke is a strong, loud, creative, and forward woman who is proud of her Native American heritage, proud to be a woman, someone who stands up for women and girls, stands up for all to be treated equally, and someone who refuses to be anyone’s puppet.
I’m not here to make you feel comfortable. And I’m DEFINITELY not here to look pretty. I am here to use my voice and say/sing what’s on my heart.
If you don’t like it please be my guest and get off of any social media platform that has anything to do with me 🙂 it’s crazy how we forget that we don’t have to look at or partake in what we don’t like lol 😘

Simpson has an army of loyal crusaders behind her, which is something I cannot say for the troll who bashed her.  

My Two Cents
Get em girl! You are a beautiful artist, inside and out. Those trolls are just hating because they will never be as talented and beautiful as you. You have a God-given gift. Don't let those morons get you down. They have no power.
