![]() The world is still in shock following the news that Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us will soon be no more. The news, however, isn't deterring Amazon from thinking about the bigger picture, if current rumors are to be true. Rumor has it that Amazon is planning to expand its physical stores by moving into some of the locations once inhabited by the famous toy store. Does this mean that Amazon is taking over Toys 'R' Us? No. Amazon just wants the building space for its own benefit. Inhabiting these stores would give Amazon the opportunity to continue showcasing its breadwinner item: Amazon Echo. Plus the storefronts would give consumers easier access to Amazon's extensive inventory. This isn't the first time Amazon has attempted to capitalize on buildings once inhabited by closing businesses. In 2015, similar discussions were had when RadioShack shut its doors. As you can see, nothing ever came out of those attempts. Both Amazon and Toys 'R' Us have declined to release a statement. source: www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/amazon-said-to-be-eyeing-some-vacant-toys-r-us-buildings/ar-BBKro5a
