Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux separate.

Looks like love is officially dead!

On Thursday, Jennifer Aniston's publicist released a statement on behalf of both Aniston and Theroux:

"In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing out cherished friendship. Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else's fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another."

There have been a ton of speculation that the couple was on the outs, given that the last time they were seen together, as a couple, was back in July 2017.
Aniston and Theroux met on the set of Tropic Thunder in 2008, but did not date until 2011. In 2015, they married.

I have to admire these two for the statement that was put out. They announced their separation in a classy and mature way. I also like that they wanted to shut down all rumors by making the announcement themselves.
*cue all the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reunion rumors*
