First she conquered the music world with her powerful voice. Then she conquered being a judge on The Voice. Now, Kelly Clarkson has her sights set on daytime TV...as a talk show host.
NBC announced Wednesday that it has picked up The Kelly Clarkson Show, and it will air weekdays, starting in the fall of 2019. It will lead into The Ellen Degeneres Show on station affiliates in L.A., New York, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, Washington DC, and Hartford, CT. Those of you in Boston will have to watch it in another time slot.
NBC reports that The Kelly Clarkson Show will be filmed in Los Angeles, and it is being described as a "weekday brunch party." It is going to feature celebrity guests, remarkable stories, humor, heart, good music, and surprises.
(Weekday brunch party....bring on the mimosas!)
Clarkson herself released a statement, saying:
"I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations. Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!"
She and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, will be serving as executive producers.
Brb while I go get a cable box. I don't want to miss this show! #KellyClarksonsNumberOneFan!
