![]() Toys 'R' Us will begin liquidation sales at most of its locations Thursday. The liquidation sales are expected to wrap up in 14 weeks in all locations across the United States (though some stores may close earlier if they run out of inventory). It was reported this month that all Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us locations will be closing after failing to find a buyer. Toys 'R' Us is being met with a lot of criticism from its vendors for how it is handling the 'winding down' of operations. The closing of all US stores will result in 33,000 layoffs. As for their online stores, those will remain up for a short period of time, as the company is looking to find a buyer for the online store. Those of you who have gift cards and reward points, you have less than 4 weeks to redeem them. With these sales, they will be starting off with small percentages off (10%, 20%, 30%, etc). As time goes by, they will be raising their percentages off of items (40%, 50%, and so on). As a soon-to-be mom, I will be taking advantage of the sales at Babies 'R' Us since it's getting to be too late for me to have a baby shower. I want to give advice to any of you who will be shopping these sales: Be kind and courteous to the employees. These men and women will be losing their jobs in a short period of time. Think about things from their perspective. If any of my readers are "Toys" or "Babies" employees, I just want to say thank you for all your hard work, and I wish you so much luck and prosperity in the future. Don't give up. Keep fighting. source: www.foxbusiness.com/markets/toys-r-us-liquidation-sales-to-begin-thursday
