Hey Bachelor Nation! It goes without saying that this season's 'The Bachelor' is full of surprises. Well, get ready for a 'Bachelor' first!
Bekah M., this season's youngest contestant, was recently spotted on California's missing person's list. Turns out it was the 22-year-old's mother who listed her as missing back in November, after she hadn't heard from her for a while. Officers from Humboldt county released a statement, saying:
"Martinez had reportedly come to Humboldt County to work on a marijuana farm. Her mother hadn’t heard from her since November 12, 2017."
Bekah M was actually filming this season's 'The Bachelor,' and had done so since September of last year. Bekah M called Officer Samantha Karges to inform her of her whereabouts and she was promptly removed from the list.
Martinez then tweeted her mom, saying:
"MOM. how many times do I have to tell you I don’t get cell service on The Bachelor??"
On September 17 2017, Martinez did tweet her followers, notifying them that she was giving up her phone and social media for several weeks.
Martinez is no stranger to controversy. The 14-year age gap between herself and 'Bachelor' Arie has been the most trended topic of the season. Her maturity has come into question by, not only her fellow contestants, but Arie himself.
My Two Cents
I actually like Bekah M. I think she's one of the most poised women vying for Arie's affections this season. She certainly has more class than Krystal, who is 29 years old. I do wonder if she may be too young for marriage, but you can't put an age on when you're ready. Back in our grandparents and great-grandparents days, people were getting married right out of high school. Those couples stayed together for life. Perhaps, when it comes to age, we need to take things on a case-to-case basis. I think Bekah M has a good shot this season, so long as she can continue to rise above the animosity and drama.
Rooting for you, girl. And I'm glad you're no longer "missing," LOL! Oh, and I love those earrings in your picture!
