Hey Bachelor Nation!
Welcome to Hometowns Week! Hometowns Week is an essential time for Becca and our remaining hotties. Becca meets families and finds out whether there is a future with the guys. Colton, Jason, Garrett, and Blake all brought Becca home and she seemed to fit in well with all of the families, with the exception of a serious conversation she had with Colton's family.
Of course the relationship Colton had with Becca's friend Tia came up, and doubt started to creep back into Becca's mind.
After Hometown's, Becca called her girl friends up (Tia included) for advice. Right after Becca sat down with her gal pals, Tia asked to speak to Becca alone. They went to a balcony and talked. Tia told her that she lied to Becca about her feelings for Colton (she still has strong feelings for him). Becca was blindsided. She said in her confessional that her decision to send Colton home was not based on her conversation with Tia.
Social media did not believe her, and many have spoken out against both Tia and Becca. Not only has Bachelor Nation spoken about what transpired, Bekah Martinez (from Arie's season), spoke out as well. She tweeted that she thought it was unfair that people are lashing out against Tia. She acknowledged that she may have started the debate, but she felt it was in poor taste to speak negatively about Tia Booth.
Now, did Tia Booth break girl code by not being honest with her friend Becca? Probably. Sure, it is awkward when a friend starts dating your ex. However, you stated that you were over him and that you only casually dated him. Becca saw all of that as an 'OK' to proceed with dating Colton. Then, weeks later, you come out and say that you still have feelings for him? You don't do that.
On the flipside, I think Becca should have eliminated Colton from the beginning because of the drama surrounding him and Tia.
Both Tia and Colton will be on 'Bachelor in Paradise.' Will we see a Tia/Colton reunion? Who will Becca choose during the season finale? We will have to wait and see!
(from what I hear, Becca might pull an Arie.... *gasp!*)
