Dressbarn has been a fashion staple for the average woman for close to 60 years. Sadly, the retailer will be closing all 650 stores.
Steven Taylor, Dressbarn's CFO, reports that the retail chain has not been "operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today's retail environment."
The owner of Dressbarn, Ascena Retail Group, will be focusing its attention on their more profitable brands, such as Ann Taylor and Lane Bryant.
There is no word on when the stores will close. Dressbarn has nearly 6,800 employees.
