Hostess with the mostest Kelly Clarkson MC'd a spectacular awards ceremony this past week. She looked beautiful and energetic. You would have never known that deep down, she was in serious pain.
After the conclusion of the show, Clarkson, 37, broke down in tears and flew back home. She checked into the hospital the next morning and had her appendix removed. Following the surgery, she tweeted that she is "on the mend." "Not gonna lie.... I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain ? BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix ? #TheShowMustGoOn ??♀️" The "Stronger" singer had been dealing with intense appendicitis pain for the last week. She plans on returning to her "Voice" duties for the live show on Monday. While her fans were quick to send their well-wishes, internet trolls were quick to judge her for jeopardizing her health by going through with the awards show. These people called her reckless, irresponsible, and a bad role model for her kids. I am sure that if there were any danger (which there wasn't, according to her doctors), she would have canceled any upcoming gigs. She's no dummy. Clarkson has always had a level head, and she loves her family more than anything in this world. My Two Cents Kelly Clarkson just became a superhero. She sings, acts, she is a judge on a singing competition show, she is the mother of 4 (2 biological, 2 step-children), she travels all the time, makes a ton of appearances, and she hosted one of the top award shows of the year. Girl, I don't know how you do it, but you are my hero. Don't listen to the naysayers. They are just mad because they have no strength or work ethic. #kellyclarkson #BBMAs #BillboardMusicAwards #TheVoice #TeamKelly
