If there weren't enough 90s TV shows making a comeback and making you nostalgic for the good ole days, here's one more: Melissa Joan Hart herself is bringing back a staple of our preteen years: "Clarissa Explains it All."
The reboot will be in the same stylings as "Fuller House," where she will be the mother of the family. The reboot is in the very early stages of development, but it looks like the creator of the show is joining forces with Melissa Joan Hart and Heartbreak Films in order to make this show happen.
As for whether we will see her bff Sam, her annoying brother Ferguson, and her parents, that is still up in the air (Hey, wouldn't it be weird if Sam and Clarissa got married and had kids? OMG). As for Ferg-wad, I can see him being a member of Trump's cabinet, or leading a multi-billion dollar tech company.
Social media and fellow Xennials immediately jumped at the news when it came out. A lot of people wondered how Melissa Joan Hart's faith will play into the show. Some even called her out on it, in case she decided to make it faith-based.
My Two Cents
I don't think Melissa Joan Hart will make it a faith-based show. Like Candace Cameron Bure is doing on "Fuller House," she is probably going to use the same type of values to raise her character's children to be good people.
I hope this reboot is greenlit. I would love to see this show come back. It would actually work. It will teach today's generation about friendship, family, and being a good person.
Oh, and if Sam and Clarissa end up together, major bonus points!
