If you didn't watch last night's episode of Raw, you missed one hell of a show (which took place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
Braun Strowman told Roman Reigns that he is cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at Hell in the Cell. That's right, the Big Dog and Strowman will battle it out for the WWE Universal Championship inside a menacing steel cage. Seth Rollins issued an open challenge for anyone who wanted to take hold of his Intercontinental Championship. Canada's own Kevin Owens took it upon himself to challenge the Kingslayer for the title (he told the WWE Universe he wasn't leaving the arena without a title). Owens and Rollins brought their all to the match. Despite Owens using the iconic 'Stone Cold' stunner on Rollins, Owens failed to get the job done and was pinned for the 1,2,3. Before he left the ring, a defeated Owens muttered two words into the mic: "I quit." He dropped the mic and left. As for the 'Stone Cold' stunner he used, that caused quite a bit of controversy with Steve Austin fans. The rattlesnake himself did comment on the move, saying: "Very interesting." This wasn't the first time Owens copied the WWE Hall of Famer. He used the stunner at last year's Royal Rumble. The Elias segment was one of the most talked about of the night, and not because of his music ability. After serenading the crowd with his guitar, he proceeded to insult everyone in the crowd. After receiving a ton of boos, Hall of Famer Trish Stratus came out and approached the stunned Elias. Elias and Trish exchanged words and then Elias hit a low blow with saying that she was 60. Trish slapped him across the face. Next, Rowdy Ronda Rousey and Natalya came out and stood next to Trish Stratus. The 3 women watched Alicia Fox and Alexa Bliss appear. Alexa did some trash talking and revealed she's challenging Ronda Rousey to a rematch at Hell in the Cell. Mickie James then came out and walked with Bliss and Fox down to the ring for the Fox vs Natalya match. Note: Trish Stratus and Alexa Bliss will be battling it out at Evolution in October. We saw Dean Ambrose in action, and I have to say, he has never looked better. This is a new and improved Ambrose, and he will be a force to be reckoned with! Check out Raw next week for the highly anticipated Bella Twins return! Nikki and Brie are back! *cue the music* My thoughts I am so happy with the WWE writers for the content they've produced over the last few weeks. The programming hasn't been this good in a long time. I am really hoping for Ambrose to turn heel. He needs his time in the sun. It's been too long. I was super excited to see Trish Stratus lay into Elias. It's been a long time coming and someone needed to knock him off that high horse. As for Kevin Owens, I hate the character of Kevin Owens and I didn't shed any tears when he said "I quit." I pretty much was, like "Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye!" Something tells me that he won't be gone for long, though. Owens is way too young in his career to up and (permanently) retire like that. I'm also going to mention Braun Strowman "turning" heel. I don't know why people are saying he's "turned" heel. He's been a heel for the longest time. He just went up another level. I like it! #GetTheseHands! Can't wait for next week. I'm stoked to see The Bella Twins returning to the squared circle. These new divas need some schooling! LOL! jk!
