We live in a day and age where we are ruled by technology. Without the help of virtual assistants, we would forget about work meetings, doctor appointments, soccer games, and more. Even our kids are relying on technology with each passing day. As parents, it can be hard to communicate with our kids when technology and electronics are distracting them.
For example, how hard is it to get our kids downstairs for dinner? Kids could be upstairs playing video games, listening to music while doing homework, or binge-watching their favorite TV shows on Amazon Prime. Keeping it in the Amazon family, Echo is now able to notify your kids that dinner is ready.
If you have multiple Echos in your household, Amazon Alexa Announcements can turn Echo's speaker into an intercom system, letting everyone in the household know that dinner is ready. From the kitchen, moms and dads can simply say to Alexa: "Alexa, announce that dinner is ready." Alexa will then announce "Dinner is ready" through every connected Echo system in your household.
The feature has just rolled out in the United States and Canada.
