With Chitika shutting down at the end of the month, many are wondering what ad revenue sites they can use in order to make money off of their sites. Some you may have heard from, others, not so much.
This is the most popular ad revenue sites that many online businesses, bloggers, and vloggers use to make money. While Adsense is the most reputable site to use, it is also the hardest to get approval for. The process can sometimes take months. My first blog site, which is still active, took 3 months to get approved. Adsense offers a minimum $100 threshold. If your site generates a lot of visitors, this is an easy threshold to meet.
CJ (Commission Junction)
One of my fellow web writers/close friends told me about this site yesterday. She seems to love it and I trust her. This is an easy sign up, but you have to wait a while to get approval from advertisers. The minimum cashout threshold is $100.
I have been using LinkShare for years and I love it. The application process is easy, and you also have to wait to be approved by advertisers. With LinkShare, you often get private offers from various advertisers. You do have to be careful with some of the ads, as they are generated for a limited time (holidays, specials, etc).
The same friend that recommended CJ also recommended ShareASale. The application process is not that hard, but you have to wait to be approved. The wait is not as long as the one for AdSense, however. I'm still waiting on approval (I applied yesterday so it will be a wait). I will be writing a separate piece on this ad revenue site once I am approved.
