The Bachelor's After the Final Rose: a surprise proposal, and a new Bachelorette is crowned!3/6/2018 ![]() Before I begin, I didn't get to watch the episode, but I followed the tweets as other people watched it. Following the tweets on Twitter was the same as watching it (when you have a ton of people tweeting the episode every 5 seconds, you get the gist of what's going on). Okay, Bachelor Nation. From what I gather, Bekah M put him in his place (we all knew she would. It's why everyone loves her). We learned a new term: "Passion Bucket," and we learned that Arie's gross personality knows no bounds. He came out and said that he didn't allow Lauren to watch last night's episode. Lauren doesn't know how pitiful Arie's actions were toward Becca (careful, Lauren. This is how controlling relationships start!). Lauren is flying so blindly into this relationship with Arie that she accepted his proposal. Yes! Arie actually proposed to her, in front of everyone (including Becca!). I don't need to tell you that Twitter went into a fury when it happened. I myself felt sick to my stomach. Fear not, Bachelor Nation. The sickening proposal was quickly overshadowed when the new Bachelorette was named. Our new Bachelorette is...Becca Kufrin! Chris Harrison then told Becca that the season starts now and he brought out a few of the men that will be vying for her affections. A Twitter favorite was a man named Lincoln. He is a sexy Brit who called Arie a wanker on live TV. Another guy gave off serious Wells vibes. Basically those are the two favorites. My favorite is Lincoln. Any sexy guy with an accent is cool in my book, especially if he calls your ex a wanker on TV (with him sitting right there). Buckle up, Bachelor Nation. Becca is about to paint the town red! Can't wait to see her have the time of her life as The Bachelorette. As for Lauren and Arie, I don't see this working out at all. Arie will screw up and Lauren will realize all of the girls were right. One thing I know, after the 35 years I've been on this Earth, you don't turn your back on your girls...especially for a guy. If there is one thing we can take away from this season: the power of friendship trumps anything. Becca K may not have found love with vile Arie, but she found soulmates in her fellow contestants. Becca and the girls = squad goals! Becca is the ultimate winner this season!
