![]() This morning, many users on Twitter found themselves "locked out" of their account. Users that weren't locked out found themselves down a couple thousand of followers. It appears as though the majority of those locked out were "bots." Many individuals who used the hashtag #TwitterLockout clapped back at Twitter, scolding the social media giant of censorship. The political right blamed the political left, and vice versa. Those that participate in Twitter ads also saw that their ads had disappeared. Twitter hasn't released a statement as of yet, but I feel that Twitter was just doing a purge of accounts that weren't adhering to the rules of Twitter. Nothing more, nothing less. Were you affected by the Twitter lockout? Let me know.
