Writing Prompt:
Throughout everything he put her through: the lying, the betrayal, and the games, she never stopped loving him. My Contribution: Eight months ago, something unimaginable happened. Sara found out that she was carrying a life inside her, a life that she and the man she once loved created together. Turns out, the man she loved lied to her about everything. Sara spent her entire pregnancy alone, dealing with complications, going to appointments alone, and handling close calls. It still haunted her how things went down between her and her former love. Her life, and the life of her unborn child was threatened by people she did not know, but were involved in her former love's life. The man who helped her create this life got engaged to another. Along with dealing with her unborn child's absentee father, she began nursing her heartbreak. As time ticked on, Sara felt herself becoming more authentic with what she was thinking and feeling. Throughout everything he put her through: the lying, the betrayal, and the games, she never stopped loving him. Part of her hoped that one day he would return to her, apologizing for everything he put her through, wanting to make amends. The other part of her wanted to make changes in her life in order to move on. Now weeks away from delivering her son, Sara decided to focus on being the best mother for her son. She knew, in time, her heart would heal and that she would be ready to find love again. Until then, she has all the love she needed in her life, with God by her side. While she never stopped loving her baby's father, it wasn't enough to pine for him for the rest of her life. As Sara looked to the sky, she folded her hands to her chest, asking God to heal her wounded heart. A sense of healing enveloped her. From this moment on, she walked with a Higher Purpose. No matter what would happen to her and her baby boy, she was protected by the Heavenly Father.
