Hilary Swank receives criticism for pregnancy, Emmy Rossum comes for troll in Swank's comments.

On Wednesday, actress Hilary Swank told the world that she is expecting twins with her husband Phillip Schneider. The 48-year-old mom-to-be was beaming with excitement and shared a photo of herself cradling her baby bump to her Instagram followers. 99.9% of her followers were ecstatic to hear about the news and showered her with congratulations and love.

Unfortunately, there is always a troll in every happy feed. One salty peanut chimed in with his/her ageist two cents, saying: "AREN'T YOU LIKE 50 YRS OLD? Gonna be in your 70's when they graduate college. MIGHT live to see their wedding, maybe."

Everyone came for this troll, including Swank's friend Emmy Rossum. Emmy shut down the ageist troll with just 3 letters: GFY. For those who aren't savvy with social media lingo, it stands for "Go Fuck Yourself."
Emmy was praised by followers, with one saying: "@emmy exactly what Fiona would say and I'm HERE FOR IT. <3" 

For those that don't know, Emmy played Fiona Gallagher on hit TV series Shameless.

Situations like this are the reason why I talk about feminism in many of my other blogs. The patriarchal society thinks it has the right to regulate what a woman does with her body. They think if a woman is over a certain age and gets pregnant, she is selfish and reckless.
How/when a woman gets pregnant is NO ONE'S BUSINESS. Instead of judging, how about society congratulates these expectant mamas? 
Babies are to be celebrated, as are the mamas. 

Hilary Swank is healthy, vibrant, and has a good head on her shoulders. She's never been in the spotlight for negative reasons. She is in great shape. I am super happy for Hilary Swank. I can tell that she and her husband have been wanting this for a very long time. 

As for the ageist troll looking for their 15 mins of fame: GFY.
