Sorry if I'm a bit late to the game. My household has come down with a nasty bug, so we've been out of commission the last few days (not due to covid).
Anyways, I did catch Tuesday's INSANE debate. Not even 20 mins in, the whole debate became a verbal bloodbath, with Trump interrupting Biden every 5 seconds. Trump went way below the belt throughout the entire debate. He refused to listen to Chris Wallace when he was warned about his interruptions. Joe Biden was clearly like all of us, completely flabbergasted by our president's outlandish and despicable behavior. Trump only answers a small portion of the debate questions. The rest of the time, he was attacking Biden for his past dealings, and he went low by mentioning Biden's family.
I want to talk a little about Trump's comment regarding Biden calling people of color "super predators." If you know your political history, you would know that Hillary Clinton said those words when she signed the Crime Bill in 1994. Yes, Joe Biden was a co-signer on the bill, but he NEVER referred to people of color as "super predators." Google it if you do not believe me.
When Trump talked about Biden's son's past drug use, I thought that was a low fucking blow. I think it showed how callous Trump is, and that he believes anyone associated with drug use, or is related to someone who had an addiction, are non-existent losers who aren't worthy of spit-shining his shoes. I call Trump the "Projector-In-Chief," because he constantly uses that psychological defense mechanism in order to keep his skeletons safe in the closet. Unfortunately, for him, he tells on himself. He is messy. He clearly told on himself and showed his true nature during this debate.
The comment that had me angry, disgusted, and a little terrified, was when he told white supremacist group "Proud Boys" to "stand back and stand by." That was, by far, the most alarming thing I've ever heard from a President. When you pair all of that with his refusal to accept an election loss, it leads me to believe that shit is going to go down when he loses.
I did a little digging about "proud boys," and they are as nazi as you can get. They hate anyone who isn't 100% white. They are radical misogynists, and they HATE the LGBTQA+ community. If Trump loses, is he going to mobilize an attack on everyone the nazi group hates? Who the fuck does that?!
Before I got banned on Facebook (long story. I will explain in another post), I spent time reading comments on various posts from media outlets. People are STILL defending Trump after what he said!
I'm not an idiot. I know racism is alive and well. It's always been like that. One of the few good things my mom did was help me to understand the background and struggle that women and men of color come from. I knew racists exists. My younger half-brother is half Puerto-Rican. He has encountered his own share of racism. Friends of mine have told me stories of what they have encountered (everything from racial profiling to flat out slurs and violence). It's an everyday tragedy. People of color experience racism everyday. With Trump in power, it sort of energized the racist beast within the Right-wing community, with the far-right white supremacist groups becoming Trump's army. Trump sort of made being openly racist "okay." It made closet racists feel comfortable to go out and be just as disgusting and hatemongering as Trump and his army. It is a dangerous time for women and men of color, ALL women, anyone who isn't some level of Christian, and anyone in the LGBTQA+ community.
If you're a pure-bred white male, completely straight, and a 'speaking in tongues' radical Christian, you have nothing to worry about. The rest of us need to be aware of what could happen. Hours after the debate, "proud boys" made an announcement that they are standing by and they are ready for orders (from Trump). These white supremacists, their leader Trump, and his followers, are no better than the Al-Qaeda.
Joe Biden did say something that every single person across the world has fantasized about saying to Trump's face since 2015/2016: "Will you shut up, man?"
I cheered so friggin loud, that I woke up the next morning with a sore throat. The comment has now been made into memes, and it is on apparel that you can buy from various websites.
I love the fact that Joe Biden stood his ground against Trump. I also love the fact that he spoke into the camera and at the viewers. Trump has never done that. He looks down and out. Trump's body language proves he doesn't care about America. He wants to change it to match his vision of America. His vision includes getting rid of liberals, people of color, the LGTBQA+ community, all religions that aren't on the Christian spectrum, and women's rights. In Trump's America, women are way below men. Trump is clearly going to destroy the land of the free, home of the brave. If you pay attention to comments from people all over the world, they are scared for us, and for themselves. If they aren't laughing at us, they are scared for us. We used to be the dominant country, guys. People across the world used to dream about coming to America and making a better life for themselves and their families. Not anymore. American-born individuals who are currently living in other countries are crying and scared for their loved ones in America.
Joe Biden isn't perfect, but I think he can do a much better job at rebuilding this country. Yes, I am well-aware of Kamala's history about having scores of African-American males arrested (a friend of mine talks about it from time to time). Biden is a better choice because Trump wants to mobilize white supremacist groups to eliminate people of color. I didn't see that on the Biden/Harris to-do list.
I was already toying around with the idea of voting for Biden. Biden's body language and the fact he can stand up to the anti-Christ Trump (Yes, I referred to Trump as the anti-Christ because he fits the Christian description of the anti-Christ that is in the bible), has solidified it for me. I will be voting for Biden in the election. My only concern is that Biden won't have a plan in the works, in case Trump does mobilize "proud boys" for an attack.
This is the most important election in US history. Way too much is at stake here. Vote, and don't be afraid of the mail-in ballots. Trump is just trying to scare you.
I hope Chris Wallace is able to maintain order with our unstable president. I know that the committee that handles the debates will be implementing new rules to help maintain order. One of those rules is muting the mic when someone talks out of turn.
As hilarious as it will be to watch Trump muted every 5 seconds, I'm pretty sure it will piss him off quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if he walks out of the debate. Maybe we can count that as him conceding to Biden. That would be awesome! #QuitterInChief
At least he will have extra time to prep for court and prison. #TaxFraudInChief
