Over the weekend, Candace Cameron Bure's son, Lev Bure, proposed to his long-time love Taylor Hutchinson. What was a beautiful and special occasion has turned into a tiny scandal. While people were congratulating the 20-year-old on his upcoming nuptials, people were slamming him in the comments for being "too young." Some of them even scolded Candace Cameron Bure for allowing him to get engaged so young. It's all very silly.
Here are some of the comments I found on Instagram:
I'm going to assume the people shaming him are 40+ years old, never been married, and they have 12 cats.
Listen up, sourpussies! Ask your grandparents how old they were when they got married. Ask them how old THEIR parents were when they got married. A lot of people back in the day got married right out of high school, and stayed happily married for the rest of their lives.
Candace Cameron herself was married at 20 years old. She and Val have been happily married since 1996! She credits their 24 year marriage to faith in God.
It's no secret that Candace and Val have raised their 3 kids as Christians. They were raised in Church and they seem to have good heads on their shoulders. What makes me laugh is that the people flaming Lev Bure for getting engaged are also mocking his faith, and saying he's only getting engaged so he can have sex. Now, if he were to have sex outside of marriage, people would question how strong his faith is, AND they would slam his parents.
I feel bad for Lev and his family right now. No matter what, they are going to get dragged in the comments. I meant what I said in my previous post regarding his engagement: I'm happy for both the Bure and Hutchinson families.
I will admit, I feel a little old when I think about Candace Cameron Bure becoming a grandmother someday. Candace, we ain't ready, gurl! LOL!

Andrew Lloyd Webber is best known as the King of Broadway musicals. Now, he has been dubbed the 'Phantom of the WAPera!'
Andrew Lloyd Webber dropped the coolest remix on TikTok, and it's EXACTLY what we all fucking need right now.
ALW's short video consisted of him dancing, and then playing 'Phantom' on the piano, all while WAP plays in the background.
The genius video has received nearly 2 million views. Cardi B hasn't commented on the mashup, but I'm pretty sure she will love it.
"The Phantom of the Opera is there inside my mind...and this wet ass pussy.."
Watch the remix below!
"She said YES," exclaimed Candace Cameron Bure, as she shared with the world that her son, Lev Bure is engaged to his longtime love, Taylor Hutchinson.
Candace Cameron Bure continued:
"We are SO excited for these cuties!!! #Engaged ! And this mama/mama-in-love canât wait for wedding planning shenanigans ð¥ð¾ð!!!"
The 20-year-old and his bride-to-be have been together since May 2018.
I first saw news of the engagement on Natasha Bure's Instagram stories (Natasha is Lev's older sister). Proud mama Candace shared the news hours later, along with some beautiful engagement pictures.
Congrats to Lev, Taylor, the Bure family, and the Hutchinson family! Blessings to all!
Despite Covid keeping everyone grounded for the better part of this year, Sturgis Motorcycle rally still took place. Over 360,000 people went to the beloved event. Many bands and artists performed at the rally, 90s sensation Smash Mouth being one of them.
Smash Mouth was in the press a lot at the beginning of August, but it wasn't for their amazing music. It was their blatant disregard for the seriousness of Covid-19. Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell yelled to the crowd "Now we're all here together tonight...Fuck that Covid shit."
Now the once beloved band is receiving a sh*t ton of hate mail, which has increased after an outbreak of covid affected 200 people in 10 states (the numbers are climbing).
Smash Mouth shared one piece of hate mail they received, which included a broken CD of theirs. The letter was pretty graphic, calling the band members "motherfuckers." Former fans dragged the band in their Instagram comments section, saying that the band "let all your fans who care about human life down."
Once again, Smash Mouth is not the "sharpest tool in the shed." Smash Mouth is about to crash like Lit did (I saw Lit in concert years ago, and they were BEGGING for people to cheer for them. When they didn't get it, they ridiculed the crowd).
Oh how the mighty have fallen!
Break out your boom boxes and do the Carlton! 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' is making a comeback!
The show is set to return with Will Smith's production company, Westbrook Studios producing a new version of the beloved sitcom. Westbrook Studios is partnering with Universal TV to bring the show back. Will it be the same show we all remember and love? No.
The new version of the show is inspired by a fan-made trailer that came out in 2019. The trailer was created by cinematographer Morgan Cooper, and it has a darker vibe. The plot will be the same, but it will go more into detail about the trouble Will got himself into before being sent to Bel Air to live with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins.
The trailer went viral, and can be seen below. Obvi, there will be some casting changes. Yours truly is hoping for Will Smith himself to play Uncle Phil. I would f*cking love that!
The reboot is being shopped around to various streaming services, with Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon, and Apple being interested.
If you want to catch up on the beloved sitcom, you can stream it on HBO Max.
My Two Cents
I am IN LOVE with the trailer. I hope to God this reboot is picked up. BTW, I was so excited to see the addition of Jazz in the trailer (no it wasn't the real DJ Jazzy Jeff). Maybe DJ Jazzy Jeff can play Geoffrey Butler.
Readers: Would you watch this reboot? Why or why not? Drop me a line below, or message me on social media.
*sigh* I am shaking my head in disappointment as I write this, because I was such a fan of Smash Mouth back in the 90s. "All Star" was my jam, along with "Walkin on the Sun."
I digress. Smash Mouth performed in front of thousands of people at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota over the weekend.
It was the 80th annual Sturgis Motorcycle rally, and an estimated 250,000 people were in attendance.
As we all know, CDC has guidelines that should to be followed in order to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Sadly, the organizer did not adhere to these guidelines. Very few people in the crowd practiced social distancing, and only a few people wore masks.
Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell repeatedly told the crowd:
"We’re all here together tonight! F— that COVID s—!"
While South Dakota does not have a mask mandate or rules about large gatherings, the United States as a whole is experiencing a resurgence of the novel coronavirus. In fact, on Saturday, the US hit 5 million confirmed Covid cases.
I guess he "ain't the sharpest tool in the shed."

This morning, social media was on fire with concerns for controversial celebrity Azealia Banks.
Banks took to her Insta stories at the wee hours of Sunday morning, and said that life is so hard with the constant ridicule, no intimacy, and no social interaction due to the coronavirus pandemic. She said she was ending her "tenure here on Earth soon."
She said that she is not begging for attention, nor asking for sympathy. She said she is ready to go peacefully. Banks, 29, says she is going to document her last times, get all her projects done, and then she will do it.
Both fans and haters flocked to social media to raise awareness for mental health, and to beg for Azealia Banks to change her mind. Azealia Banks was among the biggest trending topics on Twitter this morning, with people begging those close to Banks to check on her. Additionally, many on Twitter used this situation to raise awareness of mental health and people of color.
One user stated that "A lot of you talk about caring for Black women then ignore Azealia Banks's struggling mental health and toss her aside for saying sh*t about your faves."
Many users chimed in with the same sentiment.
Azealia's last message was 5 hours ago (current time is 6:52AM EST). You can read the messages in the pic below.
My Two Cents
I'm not the biggest fan of Azealia Banks (I don't know much about her music so I can't call myself a fan). I have had concern for her through the years because she does seem like she's dealing with something much bigger than she is. As someone who also struggles with mental health (I have depression, panic disorder, and bipolar disorder), I know what it is like. You get into this fight or flight situation, and you sort of scatter everywhere. You conjure up controversy, try different things, and you end up further away from where you should be. the pandemic doesn't make things easier. I had my own mental health breakdown 8 days ago, but it ended up being more of a breakthrough than anything.
I digress. Azealia Banks is a human being. As a fellow human, she needs support and comfort. I'm not sure if Azealia or any of her people will see this, but I hope she reconsiders. Death is such a final decision. Her mind-frame is temporary. I'm telling you, overcoming those mental illness demons will make you stronger. You will end up inspiring others with your comeback. Not to mention, your comeback is THE BIGGEST middle finger to your haters. It's hard, so just take things one minute at a time. Talk to someone, call the hotline. Reach out to family. Just talk to someone. I reached out to a friend of mine from 25 years ago. We weren't even close, but she was there for me.
