'Framing Britney Spears' depicts the sickening way Britney has been treated through the years.2/10/2021 In 1999, the phenomenon known as Britney Spears took over the music world. I was 16 (going on 17), and I remember watching "Baby One More Time" on TRL. "Who the fuck was this poptart, and why am I dancing to the song like I love the fuck out of it," I asked myself as I danced in my seat. Simple. Because I loved it. My alternatively dressed, rock music-loving, behind was digging Britney's energy. I couldn't get "Baby One More Time" out of my head. I bought her debut album when it came out and I listened to it nonstop (Of course, I wouldn't admit to it to my peers). Anyways, I loved her first album and her music videos. Britney received so much praise for her music and performing, but she also received criticism for her outfits. People thought she was a bad influence for showing off her body. Grown ass men were talking about every curve on Britney Spears' 17-year-old body. Interviewers asked Spears blatant misogynistic questions, and she held her own. Britney Spears became the princess of pop, and everyone wanted her picture. Paparazzi scum did everything legal and illegal to get a picture of her. Some of these low-lifes were getting paid more than $1 million per picture. Some got paid a lot more than that, especially when Britney had her public meltdown years later. Before we talk about that, we need to address the Britney and Justin relationship. During the documentary, it was alleged that Justin used Britney in order to launch his solo career. He also lied about Britney cheating on him in order to make a name for himself. He publicly prided himself on "sleeping with" Britney. He capitalized on her pain, ruined her reputation, and now the truth has been revealed. Shortly after the Britney Doc aired, people rushed to Timberlake's social media pages and slammed the fuck out of him for how he treated Britney. They demanded an apology for both Britney, and for the Janet Jackson boob exposure (it has been revealed that this was planned. Jackson was a pawn in catapulting his career even more. All she had to do was have her boob revealed to millions of people). I read some of the comments and I agreed with most of them. The ones I did NOT agree with were the ones where people talked about Justin's children. No matter how dirty someone has been in their lives, children are OFF LIMITS. I even said that on his Instagram.
Britney's public meltdown shocked the world in 2007. She was going through a tough divorce, she was working, she was dealing with maggot paparazzi trying to take pictures of her and her boys, and she was struggling internally. Being the victim of misogyny, public scrutiny, a messy divorce, and being a mom on top of everything, it all got to her. She had NO ONE in her immediate circle who truly had her back. Then the conservatorship happened. Jamie Spears (daddy dearest) took control. He had full control over her personal life, and her empire. He even took 1.5% of what Britney earns from her album sales, merchandise sales, and performances/appearances. She wasn't allowed to do anything that her father didn't approve of. Jamie Spears had firm control over her entire empire and estate. He actually controlled her love life. He did thorough background checks on every man that entered her life. Britney Spears became less human with her dad in control. She became nothing but a "cash cow" in Jamie's eyes. When she didn't do what he wanted, he punished her. Britney was placed in a facility for a long time, and fans didn't know where she was. Of course Jamie tried to cover everything up, but there were two Podcasters who received an anonymous tip about where Britney was. They broke the news right away. #FreeBritney was born, and it is comprised of a bunch of Britney fans that are calling for Britney to be freed from her conservatorship. Listen, Britney is not crazy, and she was great at handling her businesses from the start. In the documentary, we learned that she read every legal document when she rose to fame. She read and signed everything herself. She needed to know everything that was going on at all times. She loved having that control. She is in this conservatorship because it is a goldmine for her family, and I wouldn't be surprised if her family is threatening to keep her kids from her if she tries to escape the conservatorship. Britney is trapped, but she can get out. Britney needs to fight. The first step is removing Jamie completely. He is a bad news scumbag. Fast forward to present day: Jamie is co-conservator, and a bank is also handling her estate. Britney has been in a long-term relationship with Sam Asghari, and she keeps a relatively low profile, aside from her selfies and dancing videos. Following the release of the documentary, Asghari released a very heated statement about Britney's father: "Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way. In my opinion, Jamie is a total dick. I won't be going into details because I have always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom." While I love everything that he said, I don't trust Sam as far as I can throw him. If he is feeling that heated about the situation, he should be doing more so that Britney can have her freedom back. Is he cashing in on her imprisonment too? What TF is going on? There is definitely a lot more going on behind the scenes. As a Britney fan, I worry everyday about her. Life is just flying by, and she is imprisoned in her conservatorship. It is so fucking sad to see what the world and her family has done to her. Guys, if you haven't watched the documentary, please do so when you get a chance. It's so telling, and it will break your heart. It will also hold you accountable for anything you have ever said to mock Britney Spears when she was down. Britney doesn't need this conservatorship, and she doesn't need to be so damned protected by her family and the rest of the snakes. #FreeBritney One final thought: Fuck Justin Timberlake and Fuck Diane Sawyer. #FreeBritney #BritneySpears #Instagram #socialmedia #popsingers #MTV #framingbritneyspears #DianeSawyerIsAGaslighter
