![]() Yes, you read that right. Miley Cyrus has redefined herself, channeled her inner rock goddess, and she has released a pretty decent rock album! According to Billboard, Cyrus' new masterpiece moved 60,000 units in its first week. This is Cyrus' first appearance on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. Not only that, title song "Plastic Hearts" debuted at no. 8, with nearly 4 million people streaming the song. The song has also been downloaded over 2,000 times. Her song "Night Crawling," with Billy Idol debuted at number 12, "WTF Do I Know" debuted at number 13, "Gimmie What I Want" at number 16, "High" debuted at number 18 (and number 14 on Hot Alternative Songs), and "Bad Karma," with Joan Jett debuted at number 19. Miley has been busy channeling her inner rock goddess, with covering many classic rock songs, including Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe," and "Edge of Midnight (Seventeen)," by Stevie Nicks. She is planning on releasing more cover songs. My Two Cents I am not a Miley Cyrus superfan. In fact, I was taken aback when I heard she had the biggest rock album in America. I actually took the news as a sign of the apocalypse. When I read that Billy Idol and Joan Jett were on the album, I decided to stream it. I just finished streaming the album, and I am pleasantly surprised! It's really good, you guys. I couldn't find a song on her album that I hated. The album is very 80s rock. There is one song that does give me early 2000s alternative rock vibes. There is an energy in this album that was lacking in her others. I feel like we are being introduced to Miley's true artistry. This is Miley truly being Miley! My favorite songs on the album are:
In my opinion, this is Miley's best work. I look forward to seeing her own the Grammys!
