Break out your boom boxes and do the Carlton! 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' is making a comeback!
The show is set to return with Will Smith's production company, Westbrook Studios producing a new version of the beloved sitcom. Westbrook Studios is partnering with Universal TV to bring the show back. Will it be the same show we all remember and love? No. The new version of the show is inspired by a fan-made trailer that came out in 2019. The trailer was created by cinematographer Morgan Cooper, and it has a darker vibe. The plot will be the same, but it will go more into detail about the trouble Will got himself into before being sent to Bel Air to live with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins. The trailer went viral, and can be seen below. Obvi, there will be some casting changes. Yours truly is hoping for Will Smith himself to play Uncle Phil. I would f*cking love that! The reboot is being shopped around to various streaming services, with Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon, and Apple being interested. If you want to catch up on the beloved sitcom, you can stream it on HBO Max. My Two Cents I am IN LOVE with the trailer. I hope to God this reboot is picked up. BTW, I was so excited to see the addition of Jazz in the trailer (no it wasn't the real DJ Jazzy Jeff). Maybe DJ Jazzy Jeff can play Geoffrey Butler. Readers: Would you watch this reboot? Why or why not? Drop me a line below, or message me on social media.
