"The Craft: Legacy" drops the official trailer, and there are throwbacks to the original movie!10/3/2020 ![]()
Get ready for a brand new generation of weirdos! "The Craft: Legacy" is set after the events of the original movie, where we followed 4 teen witches into their magickal madness.
This new 'Craft' movie has some big shoes to fill, and from the looks of the trailer, they are ready to channel Manon. This new movie has a new coven forming, and their new addition to the circle causes their magickal world to spiral downward. The movie has several references to the original movie, with a pic of Nancy Downs being one of the biggest throwbacks to the original. From what I've read about the remake, there may be footage of Balk's iconic character Nancy Downs in the new movie. Additionally, we will see a 'Light As A Feather' scene, and the new addition of the coven saying the iconic line: "We are the weirdos, mister!"
Looking at the trailer, the movie will also have combined elements of Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (there are a lot of glitter and cutesy effects).
'Legacy' stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideoin Adlon (Pamela Adlon's daughter-Pamela Adlon was in Grease 2), Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, Michelle Monaghan, David Duchovny, and Nicholas Galitzine. None of the OGs are in the new movie, except for the Nancy Downs excerpts from the 1996 movie. "The Craft: Legacy" will be released On Demand on October 28. I have mixed feelings about this remake. When a remake is made without the OGs, it usually sucks beyond words. I was a teenager when the original movie came out (I was 14). I wasn't old enough to see it in the theater, but I did buy the VHS after it was released to video. I love the movie and I love the music. Will I watch the remake? Yes. I want to give the movie a fair chance. If it sucks, I will bind the movie from doing harm against other people, and harm against the original.
