Britney Spears has dominated the music world for over 20 years. She kicked the door down with "Baby One More Time," and she released hit after hit thereafter. Unfortunately, her personal life took a hit from her overnight fame. Britney was only 16/17 years old when her first song came out (before then, she was on The New Mickey Mouse Club). She didn't get to enjoy a normal adolescence and 20s.
It's no surprise that she had a public meltdown in 2007.
Since her meltdown, she has been under the care of conservators. Recently, documents went public and it was disclosed that Britney may not perform again.
"To this date, Britney has not resumed performing and has stated that she does not desire to do so at this time."
Fans have been worried sick about Britney for several months. Last year, fans speculated that she was being held against her will at a mental health facility. Since then, fans and friends have hinted that she continues to be controlled. This has prompted the "Free Britney" movement. Actual protests have taken place throughout the country (and world). Famous friends of Britney's, such as Paris Hilton, have expressed their concern for Spears' well-being.
I don't know what is going on in Britney's personal life, but I think she should retire. The woman has more money than God, so she can enjoy a comfortable retirement (her net worth is over $200 million). She really needs a rest and freedom from the "Toxic" world of fame. I've been a fan throughout her career, and I've seen her public meltdowns. No amount of fame or money is worth risking your well-being. Britney deserves to enjoy a peaceful life with her boys.
If she is being controlled by evil people in her life, I hope she finds the strength to get rid of them.
