![]() Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are pure couples goals! On the "Give them Lala...with Randall" podcast, Jax Taylor gushed about his 'beautiful' wife Brittany, and spoke about how she is going through a rough time right now. He spoke about the importance of reassuring Brittany of how beautiful she is. "What I think is extremely important and what I’m going through now with Brittany is just reassuring Brittany how beautiful she is. She’s already beautiful, she’s already gorgeous, but I always see Brittany looking at herself and I know in her head she’s just thinking...sometimes I feel like she thinks that she’s not pretty."
Host Randall Emmett was baffled to hear about this. He told Taylor that Brittany is stunning. Jax nodded: "We all know that. I know that, you know that...But you know their bodies are changing and they’re not used to that and they’re very insecure. They know they’re excited to be moms, but at the same time, they’re like, 'Am I gonna get back into that bikini again?' You know, that kind of stuff. And it’s like, that’s the thing that I have to reassure her a lot. I love doing it." He went on to say that it's important for new dads to let their girlfriend or spouse know how beautiful they are at all times. My Two Cents What Brittany is feeling is so relatable! Just like Brittany, I've battled weight issues. I was bullied relentlessly for years because of how heavy I was. When you finally reach that goal weight, and slip into those size 2s and 4s, it's like reaching nirvana. Then you get pregnant. Your emotions are all over the place, your body is changing and getting bigger. All of those body insecurities bubble up to the surface. When I was pregnant, it happened to me. I was working on my weight loss when I got pregnant. I had major body issues throughout my pregnancy, and I even tried to portion control and ignore my cravings for a period of time. I ended up losing a few pounds during pregnancy because I was afraid of getting bigger. My doctors and my friends begged me to eat. I listened and eventually gave into my cravings. I gained just over 40lbs during my pregnancy. After my son was born, I lost a good amount of weight right away. The combination of pumping, returning to the gym 8 weeks later, and eating right, had me in the 130s less than a year after giving birth. That was the lowest weight I had ever been as an adult. Ladies, if you are battling the same insecurities that I battled, and that Brittany is currently battling, please remember something: You are carrying a life that love created (That in itself is beautiful. You have love and pure joy growing inside you!). Your body is doing something absolutely amazing. Your body may be getting bigger, but the size is only temporary. Weight drops right after you give birth, and when you breastfeed. Give yourselves a chance. If you have a craving, give into it (when I didn't give into a craving, I got extremely shaky and agitated. My son had me craving pizza, pasta, and pineapples...ON EVERYTHING). It's a shock that I didn't gain 80lbs during my pregnancy. I think Jax is a great partner for Brittany. He is doing exactly what a man should be doing: worshipping the goddess carrying his beautiful baby! I didn't have that while pregnant (I was alone for most of the pregnancy, and I'm raising my son alone). While I should be jaded by my experience, I'm not. Congrats to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright! Brittany, from one mama to another, you are absolutely stunning. You are illuminating as a mama-to-be! #VanderpumpRules #JaxTaylor #BrittanyCartwright #LisaVanderpump #Pregnancy #pregnancyweight #momlife
