Looking to eat right in the new year? Here's a quick, healthy, and inexpensive lunch idea!
Two of the reasons why people cannot stand eating healthy is because it's too time-consuming and too expensive... I get it. Time's are tough these days. There is no work due to the pandemic, and people have been turning to comfort food to cope with stress. Let's face it, it's much cheaper to grab from the dollar menu at McDonalds, than to go to Subway and get a salad. Eating right is not as expensive and time-consuming as you may think, especially if you follow my lead. Pictured are two frozen items: Birds Eye Lentil Rotini, and Great Value Spinach. You can microwave both in the bag, and plate it as you like (I have an artsy mind so I plated mine like I was on Food Network or something, LOL). Both bags cost less than $5 combined and they make two lunch meals. Pair it with some water (with lemon or lime), and you have a healthy and refreshing lunch. You're probably wondering about the taste of the lentil pasta. It is pretty good. You definitely can tell that it isn't regular pasta, however. Anyway, the meal is low calorie (less calories than regular pasta), and it is high in fiber. Give it a try! It definitely fills you up!
