WWE is officially moving its events to Amway Center in Orlando, which will be dubbed "ThunderDome." The new residence will have a brand new set, consisting of large LED screens that will bring WWE fans into the arena via a live video (the events will still be closed set, with essential personnel only). The NBA has been using this strategy to give fans the feeling of being at the event live, while also social distancing.
Additionally, the WWE ThunderDome will have pyrotechnics, graphics, lasers, and drones.
You can see the new digs on SmackDown Live this Friday, August 21.
Summerslam will also take place at Amway Center on August 23.
Amway Center will be the home of all future filming of Raw and Smackdown Live. NXT and NXT: Takeover will be filmed at Full Sail Live in Orlando.
