WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley tweeted a request to Vince McMahon, asking him to remove Donald Trump from the WWE Hall of Fame.
Those who have been a part of the WWE Universe for some time, know about Donald Trump's involvement in WWE. He had been involved in many early events, and he even had storylines with McMahon himself ("Battle of the Billionaires" at WrestleMania 23).
Foley's tweet was 'liked and retweeted' tens of thousands of times. He did receive a shit ton of backlash from fans that still support Trump. People straight up announced in his comments section that they were unfollowing him. Hey fucks, Foley's comments section isn't an airport. No need to announce your departure. Just fuck off stage right, capisce?!
The DC riots have stunned the world. We watched in disbelief and horror, as right-wing extremists stormed the US Capitol building. The Trump-led riot did turn deadly, as one woman was killed inside the Capitol building.
Donald Trump did nothing to stop his followers. In fact, it was Mike Pence who called in the National Guard, and others, to stop the riots.
Do I think Vince McMahon will rescind Trump's induction? I would be shocked if he did. Trump and McMahon have been friends for many decades. They are rich white dudes that worship at the teet of money. It would take an exorbitant amount of humanity for Vince McMahon to throw Trump out. Honestly, Vinny Mac doesn't have the grapefruits to do what is right.
A valiant effort, Mick Foley. However, it's going to fall on deaf ears. You have a better chance of seeing Chris Jericho return to the WWE, and we all know there is "no chance in hell" of that happening.
