Texas Governor Abbott's war against women knows no bounds! Find out his preposterous promise to victims of rape.

It's not enough that Governor Abbott signed one of the harshest anti-abortion laws into effect. Now, he is covering his ass by saying that he vows to "eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets."

The new law in Texas outlaws ALL abortions after 6 weeks. Abbott justifies his new abortion law because it gives women a 6 week timeframe to get an abortion. I guess he didn't take into account that the majority of women in their childbearing years do not find out they are pregnant until long after 6 weeks. 

When it comes to victims of rape, these women are traumatized enough.
Imagine you were raped, and you find out that you're 7 weeks pregnant, and the baby you're carrying is from the rape. The government is now FORCING you to carry this baby to term. You have to carry the reminder of your violation under your clothes, while your rapist roams free to rape (and impregnate) other women. You are living in a hell that you can never escape from. 
On a side note, many men and some women believe that the only women who are raped, are the ones who wear scantily-clad clothing. This is beyond false and incredibly insulting. Anyone can be the victim of a rape. You could be dressed head to toe in sweats, and be raped on your way home from the park. Also, a good majority of women know their rapist. The rapist could be a "friend," a boyfriend, a spouse, and even a family member. Even if you are in a relationship, and your partner takes advantage of you without consent, it is considered rape. 

If Abbott thinks that cracking down on the streets is going to "eliminate ALL rapists," he is out of his goddamned mind. He enables these rapists by clinging to the teet of misogyny. He protects all men, including rapists. Abbott does not care about women at all. Has he ever talked to a victim of rape? He should go to a crisis center and listen to the stories of what these women went through.  

If he really wants to get rapists off the streets, he might want to start with resigning and going into hiding, along with the other politicians. Politicians are the biggest rapists of them all. They rape women, and people of color, of their basic human rights (along with Abbott's war against women, he also signed a voting law, which makes it harder for people of color to vote). 
Abbott is making a broken promise to women everywhere. He isn't going to have law enforcement on the streets, arresting all rapists. His law enforcement is going to do what they do everyday: racially profile every person of color in Texas, and blame women for being victims of violence. 

My hope is that other states see the hatred that the Texas Governor has against women and people of color, and not follow his lead. We have enough going on in this country. If the conservatives want to continue this war against women and people of color, they are asking for a world of trouble.
