Evan Rachel Wood reveals Marilyn Manson physically abused her, Rose McGowan applauds her bravery.2/2/2021
Actress Evan Rachel Wood came forward and named the monster who abused her: her ex-fiance Marilyn Manson. Wood revealed the horrific abuse she went through during her relationship with Manson (they dated from 2007 to 2010, and became engaged in 2010. The pair called it quits in late 2010).
Here is what she posted to social media: "The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the victims who will no longer be silent." This isn't the first time she revealed that she was a victim of domestic violence. She came forward in 2016, but did not name her abuser. In 2018, Wood disclosed that she was so traumatized by the abuse, that she would cut herself. In 2009, Manson told Spin Magazine that he had daily fantasies of smashing Evan Rachel Wood's skull with a sledgehammer. Wood isn't the only ex of Manson who endured a horrific relationship with Manson. Many of his exes have come forward with abuse claims. Wood recently received public support from Rose McGowan, who was engaged to Manson for 2 years.
Due to Wood's shocking reveal, Manson was dropped from his record label on February 1st. Manson did put out a statement, flat out denying the claims against him.
Of course he denied them. His mind is diseased and he thinks what he did was right. He thinks he did right by fantasizing about bashing her skull in. He thinks he did right by torturing Evan Rachel Wood for years, threatening her if she talked about what happened. Evan Rachel Wood did an extremely brave thing by talking about what happened. She will help so many victims of domestic abuse LEAVE their abuser, and put them in jail for a very long time. What ISN'T necessary are the people dragging Evan for waiting so long to name her abuser. They are actually VICTIM-BLAMING her, saying that she could have saved so many women if she named Marilyn Manson years ago. They obviously didn't read her statement. She disclosed that she was threatened by Manson. Picture yourself in her shoes: the person who physically and sexually abused you for years threatens your life if you told anyone about what happened. You'd be scared to death! Evan decided to stop living in fear. She is now speaking out, and there is no ulterior motive. She wants to be free of her abuser, and she wants to move forward in life. She also wants to make sure that Manson does not harm anyone again. ("I bind you Marilyn Manson from doing harm. Harm against other people, and harm against yourself.")
All you naysayers need to take several seats, and do your research into domestic violence. I've seen it firsthand with family members, and I've been in mentally, emotionally, and spiritually abusive relationships myself. I was raped when I was 15, and molested twice before then. As a kid, I was heavily abused by my mom's boyfriends. I know how it all works. There is an immeasurable stronghold put on the victim, like they are under a spell cast by a demon. There is a fear of the abuser killing you, killing your children, killing your family members, friends, pets, co-workers etc. The abuser makes you believe that you're a POS, and that you can't make it without them. Unless you've been in this situation, you can't possibly BEGIN to understand.
Do your fucking research before you open your pie holes. As for Marilyn Manson, he has always been a shady fucking character. Not just for how he dresses, but his lyrics and how he conducts himself in interviews. He's a pathetic and demonic mutant. I hope to God he is put away for a very long time. Evan Rachel Wood, and Rose McGowan, thank you for standing up for sexual assault victims, and domestic violence victims. In the words of Rose McGowan: Let the healing begin!
