I am a single mom of a beautiful 2 year old boy named CJ. Life as a single mom is tough, but my son makes it a pretty amazing experience.
There is no greater sound than the sound of your child laughing. CJ has been known to laugh hysterically out of nowhere. His entire face brightens up, his dimples come out, and his smile just takes over his entire face.
Normally when he laughs, it is at a funny song, a cartoon, a toy, a book, or me being silly. When the random bouts of laughter happen, it is one of the cutest and oddest things.
When the fits of laughter first started, I was concerned about autism. I have friends who have children on the spectrum, so I asked my son's speech and development teachers, his daycare teacher, and the doctor. Luckily, they didn't suspect autism. Basically, CJ is a very happy and normal 2 year old boy. He does have a speech and developmental delay, but he has been improving since he started speech and OT therapy.
As a mom, listening to my son laugh warms my heart. The smiles and laughter mean I'm doing a good job raising him.
Now, if he can stop laughing at my serious face, life would be perfect LOL! Seriously, if it's time to put toys away and he doesn't help me, I put my serious face on. He laughs at it and tries to sit on my lap...and then I laugh.
Well played, kid LOL!
