Using a satellite dish, scientists, possibly the government, attempt to use the power of the sun to deflect NEO's from harming Earth, and also control global warming. However, something goes terribly wrong when the dish triggers a massive solar flare. The solar flare disintegrates the dish, causing it to enter the earth's atmosphere, along with the solar flare. The solar flare causes massive earthquakes around the world. Fireballs burn towns and city landmarks, and planes begin to fall from the sky. The solar flare causes disruptions in communication across the globe. As the solar flares continue, it also destroys a space station, which enters the earth's atmosphere, impacting Chicago, Illinois. a civilian, played by Matthew Modine, realizes that the government is hiding something, and races against time to solve the problem, and save the planet. Scientists have a measurement scale to measure disasters. The scale numbers increase throughout the movie. Going from category 5 to category 8. Things go from bad to worse, when the sun develops a sunspot, and sends radiation toward earth. Can earth be saved? Despite the fact that the movie had an interesting story concept, viewers may be distracted by occasionally shoddy camera techniques. The camera becomes a bit shaky. However, I found that the actors did a satisfactory job in this movie. As a viewer, I give this TV movie a 6/10. #MovieReviews #DisasterFlicks #SyFy #SciFi #Movies #Cat8 #MatthewModine Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7guTHYQ3uM

My favorite movies are Sci-Fi disaster flicks, so I keep my eye out for unseen films. Some years ago, I stumbled upon "Age of Dinosaurs." The movie is about a biotech firm creating dinosaurs from dinosaur DNA. A man creates a dinosaur museum to showcase this work. Suddenly, something goes wrong. During an experiment, one of the dinosaurs gets out of control and attacks the scientists. The man in charge decides to gas the room in order to kill the dinosaur. People were still in the room. Everyone in that room died. The next day, the man in charge decides to open the doors to the dinosaur museum. A former firefighter, played by Treat Williams, accompanies his teenage daughter to the museum. As the man in charge is showcasing the live dinosaurs, something goes wrong, and 16 dinosaurs escape their cages. They begin attacking and killing those in the room. The firefighter gets separated from his daughter and goes through great lengths to find her. Even though the museum went into immediate lock down, after the dinosaurs were released, the dinosaurs make their way out of the museum, and begin terrorizing Los Angeles, California. The police and SWAT teams think they have the situation under control. Meanwhile, back at the museum, the Biotech lab had created more dinosaurs. Those dinosaurs escaped. Will man prevail over the dinosaurs? Only one way to find out: Check out the movie. My Two Cents This movie left me with a lot of mixed feelings. First off, it was a cheap "Jurassic Park" knockoff. With the popularity of "Jurassic Park," I believe the director thought he could get a piece of the money pie by building off the premise of the popular franchise. Sadly, he failed miserably. Treat Williams was the only well-known actor in the movie. The rest of the cast couldn't act their way out of a paper bag (Jillian Rose Reed did an 'okay' job for a new actress). I was disappointed with Ronny Cox. He was better in Stargate: SG-1. "Age of Dinosaurs" is a tad more graphic than "Jurassic Park," so if you're into gore, and bodies being ripped apart, you may enjoy this film. That is, if you can deal with the terrible acting. #MovieReviews #DisasterFlicks #SyFy #SciFi #Movies #TreatWilliams #AgeOfDinosaurs #DinosaurMovies #JillianRoseReed #RonnyCox Synopsis The movie starts off with Dr. Rhodes discovering that a comet has went off course (due to an anomaly) and has hit Mars. Now the comet is on a collision course with Earth, along with some of the debris from Mars. A crackpot science team which includes Tom, Trish, and Dr. Sadoughian must work fast to find a way to stop the comet from destroying Earth. Meanwhile at Mayor Ben Marshall's house, it's business as usual. His autistic brother Terry is making pancakes from scratch for his niece. The mayor's son gets a ride to school from his father and drops him off in front of the school. The anomaly begins to cause weather disasters across the globe. Earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and more wreak havoc and kill millions. Terry had been talking to a friend of his online about the anomaly and has been tracking everything. He believes he knows how to stop the comet and the anomaly from destroying Earth. However, he needs to get to the Space Center in Houston. Can Terry get to Houston in time to help the scientists save Earth from ultimate destruction? You will have to watch the movie in order to find out. My Review I love a good 'comet-heading-toward-Earth' movie. The special effects in this movie were okay. The camera work was pretty fluid, especially for the budget that they had (I believe it was around $2 million). As far as the acting is concerned, the only name that I recognized was Rhett Giles, who played Terry Marshell, Ben Marshall's autistic brother. He did an amazing job in this movie. Most of the actors in this movie did a great job. Would I recommend this movie? Sure. Keep in mind that this is just a movie. This type of anomaly can't happen in real life. I've read reviews about these kinds of movies where viewers talk about how unrealistic this genre is. Well, for the most part it is unrealistic. If you know your science and astronomy, you know what could happen, and what could never happen. I guarantee you, JUST Egg will be completely different than anything you've ever tried (in a good way). JUST Egg is: -Not made from chickens -Made from plants -Non GMO -Vegan -Made with Mung Bean -Kosher This product is also cholesterol free! Even better, it uses less carbon emissions and less water than regular eggs. JUST Egg has 5 grams of plant based protein (there are 7 grams of protein in the folded plant egg) and is completely egg free. It is 100% allergy friendly. Sooo...how does it taste?
I bought this product last week and have been testing it everyday, using it in different ways. I bought the folded plant egg product pictured above, and heated it up in the microwave. I will highly, highly, highly recommend that you follow the rules for heating this up in the microwave. Wrap it in a paper towel, and place it on a microwave safe dish. After cooking it in the microwave for a minute and a half, it will come out fluffy like regular eggs. When you taste it, you can tell that it isn't a regular egg product. Regardless, it is incredibly good! It has the texture of the egg, it tastes amazing, and I wasn't desiring a regular egg. I paired it with a bagel the first morning. The next morning, I paired it with sliced avocado. As for the price, it isn't too expensive. It varies anywhere from $3 to $5, depending on where you buy it. I will definitely be buying this product again. It is well worth it, and it fits my plant-based food journey. JUST Egg is available in most grocery stores! A word of warning, keep track of the expiration dates.
Recently, Dunkin (Dounts) unveiled their newest addition to the food we all run on: Snackin' Bacon.
Dunkin has been excited about this menu item for weeks, and even geared their advertising to the Keto crowd. The product was made available in stores on February 26, and consists of 8 half-strips in a small sleeve. The bacon is smoked with natural cherrywood and then topped off with sweet and savory notes (brown sugar and black pepper). Dunkin suggests that those interested in trying the Snackin Bacon pair it with a hot coffee with either French Vanilla, Caramel, or Hazelnut flavors. My thoughts on Snackin Bacon: I recently tried this new menu item and loved it! The pepper was definitely apparent, but the sweetness cuts the pepper flavor down to tolerable levels. The Snackin Bacon is 190 calories and costs less than $3. #Dunkin #DunkinDounts #SnackinBacon #FastFood #DD #FoodReviews #Food #Bacon #Foodie #WednesdayVibes
Straight up, I'm about to give you the low-down on the latest from the funnymen of Impractical Jokers. Their highly anticipated feature film dropped in theaters in early 2020 (pre-pandemic), and it did NOT disappoint.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Impractical Jokers, Impractical Jokers is made up of 4 life-long friends who compete in challenges in order to embarrass one another. They perform silly and outrageous stunts in front of unsuspecting crowds, and whomever loses the most challenges, is punished. The challenges on the show are unscripted and incredibly hilarious. Anyway, for the movie, the movie begins in 1992 with the guys getting together to see a Paula Abdul concert. They don't have enough tickets to see her, so they sneak in, posing as security guards. They create a ruckus, angering Paula Abdul. She gets pissed and vows her revenge. Fast forward 25 years later, the men are at Red Lobster and they spot Paula Abdul in the restaurant. Paula recognizes the men as the guys of Impractical Jokers and totally fangirls over them. She invites them to an exclusive party in Miami and has her assistant set it up. Her assistant hands lanyards to the guys. Unfortunately, there are only 3 for the 4 guys. The guys decide to make a road trip out of it. They perform their Impractical Joker show stunts on the way, and whomever loses the most challenges, has to sit out the party. After many challenges, and side stories, the guys make it to Miami. Murr was the loser so he was left to his own devices while the guys go to the party. After some time feeling sorry for himself, Murr decides to crash the party, wearing the security guard costume that he wore at the beginning of the movie. After Murr is reunited with the guys, Paula recognizes the guys from the 1990s party and gets pissed. She goes completely apesh*t on them. She tells the guys she runs Miami and she is going to make the guys her b*tch. Joe breaks the tension by performing in front of the party. Paula joins him on stage, and they put on an interesting show. The movie ends with the guys at the beach, Joey Fatone singing "Forever Your Girl" in the background. The men are gifted with an opportunity to fly on Abdul's private jet, but only 3 of the men can go. Murr lost again, and his punishment is to be taped to a stunt plane. Cue the credits Some highlights of the movie:
I am a huge fan of the show and have been for many years. I went into the movie as an unbiased reviewer. Was it the best movie I've ever seen? No. At certain points, the back story was a little dry. However, I do recommend it if you're looking for an overall funny movie. The challenges will make it worth your while. The movie is streaming on HBO MAX, as well as every season of the show. |
